“Open Space Monitoring” & “Closed Space Monitoring” – video art – shows the danger we can feel due to the permanent interaction with imaginary, virtual reality. Our frequent trespassing into this reliable, imaginary reality which meets our desires causes our moving forward deeper and deeper into constructing and diagnosing simultaneously. We don’t care about our escape from proper reality into the unreal one anymore – human identity is changing and assuming the open shape.
Two colloquial spaces (open & closed) submitted to a control process (monitoring process) fading out of screens whilst the battery run down. The TV test pattern displaying after generic TV noise becomes the essence of internal and external world.
In the open space case the TV pattern becomes a perfect flower on a beautiful grass and in the second case (closed space) it becomes a kitsch picture showing a cat on the most common woodlike floor background. Perhaps this pattern – TV test pattern – is the only chance to see the perfect world. This world which we can see before the batteries run down exists with nature’s curtain made within a wire net fence or a net curtain.

The result of the technology development is a new zone of media reality. Due to the establishment of this new zone, new areas have appeared on the border. These areas are where a mutual contact and penetration of the reality and media worlds take place . This “thin line” which is the boundary between the virtual and the real is non-permanent, which is easy to grab in time and space. This boundary is in constant motion and accompanying us, transforming continually. The presence of such smooth boundaries makes our life goes on in the interspaces and in the meantime. The more often we spend the same time in both worlds, the more they connect each other making us lose the ability to differentiate between them.
This work shows a problem with selling things difficult to sell or even impossible to verbalize in time and space, which are on the border between reality and the virtual. I undertake a dialogue in which I ask the question whether the new technologies allow us to make such purchases. The “e-genes”, “e-lines” and “e-space” appear in three sequences. Potential products listed in the e-technologies. See Artwork>
Transformations which have begun to body art can be considered as the consequences of several processes including the development of media and communication technologies, progress in research (genetics, transplantation), and a growing expansion of computer technology. In one of his works titled: “Body Life” I touch the problem of transition of the body in terms of new technologies. This contemporary video art consists of two parts. The first of these shows on three screens deformities of the upper part of the body. The second part goes a little deeper, and in addition to pure forms of deformation begins to live by their own life. Gaining the sexuality is involved in activities far away beyond pure transformation.
Transformation and deformation of the body and identity are proving that we are the witnesses to deep changes in the world in which we live. Technosphere is mixed with the biosphere and usurp a human life. Technology now makes the human body’s appearance. Using the opportunities offered by digital technologies today, we can build our bodies. The work brings up the subject of the body, its threats and attempts to subjugate, domination imposing or any violence.
